So we're comparing Palin with Christ? Get real. Quit feeling so sorry for yourself and grow. Idiot. Pilan was only comparing his experience with her's. She doesn't hate.
The reason there isn't that many blacks with the RNC is because most want the liberals to keep taking care of us because so many can't. How many generations do we whine about our experience and get-off our butts and do! Bush has had TWO blacks as his secretary of state or doesn't anybody read? Many might say trhat Colin Powell and Condie Rice are uncle/aunt Tom's ... NO, they're educated!
Didn't the RNC cancel their first day of the convention and raise over $4 million for the people that had to leave New Orleans. What did Obama do?
It's time that blacks say enough of entitlements and Uncle Sam taking care of us.
And what is this crap African Americans? Fools, you want to be held out as different. Get w/ it. You're American first! Does other nationalities go around and say I'm German American? Do we want to continue to be held out as different? NO. Why be treated different? We shouldn't need community organizers.We should have the initiative ourselves. Why always have somebody do things for us? Are we helpless? Stupid? NO.
Listen to Obama's empty speeches, listen to McCain's specifics. You want to send a person to be President just because he's black? Isn't he half white? Wasn't his white grandparents that raised and educated him? Paid for his two international trips as a young man? It's past time that we should be doing for ourselves. Take pride in our heritage but not use it as an excuse for NOT doing for ourselves.
The truth can hurt but its time. Thank you.

For the most part, I agree. I wouldn't want a President just because he was an atheist or some other biased that I have.
We shouldn't be so dependent on OUR government.
The American Indians were the most mistreated race ever in these United States not the blackman who has had the chance to go back to Africa at no expense with land at the time of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Where do you think Liberia come from? President Jefferson and then Abraham Lincoln made it possible but our free ancestors wanted to stay here!!!!

Lincoln - I'd agree with some of your points but it's gotten to the point where there are limited opportunitys for everybody. Notice the jobs figures today?
Powell although educated became Bush's fall guy as I recall. Once you disagree with the Shrub your career is over. Rice who's supposed to be a Russian expert sure did wonders in Georgia didn't she.
What did Obama do about N.O.? He set up a fund for donations to provide help there when the needs were defined while the republicans were twiddling their thumbs deciding whether to cancel the convention because everybody remembers what happened last time when 1500 people were killed
.
Now for the kicker and I hope this doesn't offend anybody here or maybe it should. A little comment Palin made up in Alaska when Obama won the primary:

"So Sambo beat the bitch"
This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama's win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination.

According to Lucille, the waitress serving her table at the time and asked that her last name not be used, Gov Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat's primary battle came up. The governor, seemingly not caring that the people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively.

As for McCains specifics they are just more of the same Bush policies or things Bush didn't get around to doing.
I like one analogy I just heard. If your trying fixing your car using a wrench and that wrench is the wrong one are you going to continue to use the same wrench?

It would be fine for everybody to pull themselves up by their boot straps except this administration has stolen the boots and your socks are next.

regarding palin comment, that is gossip, do you have proof, no a friend of an uncle who dated a waitress overheard a conversation. Did she get it on tape? No. It is gossip. Are you still in high school?

Lincoln17. So we shouldn't need community organizers? Maybe in a perfect world we wouldn't. But the fact is there are homeless and jobless people who, for whatever sad circumstance (most often mental illness or substance abuse or both), cannot take care of themselves or integrate with their communities successfully. Those people will always need someone like a community organizer to help them find the services they need. So what, pray tell, is the purpose of mocking community organizers, who are doing a thankless but crucial job. You wouldn't have a civilized country for politicians to loot if they c.o.'s didn't exist. So think before you mock, unlike the republicans digging for applause from god knows who.

There are more Christians than community organizers and this "Jesus was a community organizer, Pontius Pilot was a governor" slogan is exteremly offensive to Christians. Jesus didn't come to organize, and it is mockering to the Christian faith to continue to call Obama the messiah. Offensive, Offensive, Offensive. And by the way, what did any of the 50 governors of this country do to be compared to one of the most evil charaters in human history. I see major backlash coming

Hate and fear is all you guys know. You have to sell the inane idea that "Republicans hate poor people" because you can't sell your own ideas on their merits.

The truth is that Democrats LOVE poor people. They create so many of them. Now how are the "Great Society" black inner cities doing?
